WINGS
Everyone has a primary Enneagram style to which they return over and over again. The Wings are the styles on either side of your Enneagram type. For example, a Type Two might have a Three Wing, a One Wing, both wings or no strong wings. Your wing is your secondary style and it's contribution to your primary style provides for a more dyamic interpretation of your personality. Your wing is not necessarily a constant. For example, a Two may find that they primarily utilized a One wing as a child, but as an adult they are more inclined toward their Three wing.
To further the dynamic interpretation of the Enneagram, individuals with the same type and the same wing may display different aspects of both their type and their wing. There is great diversity and depth within each of the styles and thier wings.
See THE NINE TYPES for more information on how the wings influence each specific type.
