TYPE 7       THE ENTHUSIAST

Sevens like to keep their options open. When they feel their alternatives have been limited either by their own actions or the demands of others, they have a tendency to feel trapped and become anxious. Sevens are typically quite optimistic, believing that even when times are tough the tide will most certainly turn. They have a cunning ability to reframe negate experiences. As a strength, they are very creative and adept at coming up with new ideas. However, their strength becomes a limitation when movement to new ideas prevents follow through with the old ideas.

TRIAD
Five’s, Six’s and Seven’s comprise the Thinking Triad. The strengths and challenges of these types are related to their ability to identify, understand and navigate their fears.  On an unconscious level, they all have a tendency to unconsciously anticipate dangers and react to them from a position of fear.  Sevens attempt to suppress or reframe their fears by escaping into activity and fantasy.

WINGS
Those who are influenced by a stronger Six wing can be even more gregarious and outgoing than 7w8s.  They are also often loyal, responsible, and possibly more anxious than the other variant.

Those who are influenced by a stronger Eight wing tend to be more goal oriented and ambitious than 7w6.  7w8’s usually embrace assertiveness and competition.  They can be more practical than 7w6’s.

DISINTEGRATION POINT (stress point)
Under stress, Sevens may begin to display aspects of low side of Type 1.  This may be represented in a tendency to become more autocratic, rigid and demanding.  May also become more critical and impatient.

INTEGRATION POINT (security point)
When Sevens are feeling more secure they may begin to display aspects of the high side of Type 5.  They become more self-contained and focused.  They begin to appreciate smaller details and develop a greater understanding of life.
