TYPE 1 THE REFORMER

One's seek a perfect world. They are consistently trying to improve themselves and those around them. One's have very high standards and hold others accountable to maintaining these standards. One's become uncomfortable when they feel things aren't being done correctly. As a result, they may at times appear to be demanding or critical when this isn't necessarily their intention. One's enjoy being in leadership roles and embrace responsibility. One's believe that they are right most of the time, so it only follows that others should listen to them. If a One commits to something, they will follow through and often times exceed expectations. One's can become resentful when others invariably do not live up to their expectations.

TRIAD
One's, Eight's and Nine's comprise the Instinctive Triad. The strengths and challenges of these types are related to their ability to navigate and balance their innate, or instinctive energy. One's attempt to control their innate energy. This can be observed in their attempt to repress feelings or displays of anger. Even when a One recognizes that they are angry, they typically do not see outward expressions of anger as being appropriate. One's view themselves as reasonable and objective, so they try to align their outwardly behaviors with these descriptors. As a result anger is often displayed in an indirect manner until the One is provoked beyond their limit.

WINGS
Those who are influenced by a stronger Nine wing may be a bit more relaxed, objective and possibly stubborn. This wing also brings a stronger sense of detachment. 1w9 can sometimes feel like an outside observer of life. One's and Nine's share a certain idealism which is reinforced by this wing partnership. 1w9 has a stronger cerebral tendency than 1w2.

Those who are influenced by a stronger Two wing may be warmer than the 1w9, more helpful and empathic. The 1w2 brings an added dose of control to the mix so more controlling behaviors are likely. 1w2 are really driven to be "good" and are driven more by social aspects than the cerebral.

DISINTEGRATION POINT (stress point)
Under stress, One's may begin to display aspects of the low side of Type 4. They may become emotional, melancholic, self-examining, and/or self-pitying.

INTEGRATION POINT (security point)
When One's are feeling more secure they may begin to display aspects of the high side of Type 7. They may become more spontaneous, imaginative, innovative, fun. When One's are feeling more secure they can become more flexible and recognize that there may be other "right" ways of doing things.
